The Carpenter's Arms Delighted With Welcome Online

The Carpenter's Arms in Stanton Wick, part of the Buccaneer Group, offers an appealing individuality.  Converted from a row of charming miners' cottages, the Inn has become a popular retreat over the years for those appreciating good food, fine wines, real ales and delightful en-suite accommodation.

Manager, Simon Pledge, recently expressed his delight with the way the various Welcome systems in place at the hotel are performing. Welcome Online, in particular, has revolutionised the way he utilises his website.

“We have been using the online booking system now since spring and it has made such an amazing difference to the way we operate and market our hotel accommodation,” said Simon. “It has opened avenues of internet advertising that are just so powerful yet can be so easily controlled and monitored by us.”

Since April, the system has processed a total of 227 bookings, 307 bed nights and 277 rooms. This has had a drastic effect on Simon’s time management, as he explains, “It saves many man hours and increases efficiency – not to mention the massive database that is being silently built in the background!”

Simon is also looking forward to some forthcoming developments from Welcome: “I was very interested to receive your recent email regarding the updated version of Welcome Online and how bookings from 3rd party agencies will soon be directly integrated into our booking system – this is going to be a fantastic facility, save even more time and allow even more flexibility to market our hotel with the big agencies.”

Finally, the support Carpenter’s Arms have received for their PMS, EPOS and online systems hasn’t gone unnoticed: “Of course, all this would be no good to me without the great support offered by Welcome. I don’t think I have ever called the help line and not been able to get through to somebody who, within an instant, logs into our system and helps us immediately.” Simon concluded, “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you at Welcome for the fantastic job you do.”
